Daiana Romero • Aka: Daia

Colombian singer and sound artist, graduated from INA GRM National Audiovisual Institute of Paris. She has explored the ritual music of different cultures throughout the world, emphasizing the songs of the Amazonian communities from Colombia and Brazil.

Her ethnomusical research has inspired diverse sound creations and documentaries. Daiana’s most recent work, based on her travels to the Amazon, was presented at the Museum du Quai Branly in Paris in the winter of 2016. She is currently a professor of piano and singing in various alternative schools in Palma de Mallorca.

Hernan Livolsi

Hernan Livolsi fusiona instrumentos acústicos ancestrales y modernos, con sonidos electrónicos antiguos y de última generación. Lleva más de 15 años tocando el Didgeridoo y diversos instrumentos de forma autodidacta. 

Actualmente trabaja en distintos proyectos musicales, llendo desde la música para la relajación y meditación, hasta los sonidos tribales más bailables. Fusionando instrumentos acústicos ancestrales y modernos, con sonidos electrónicos antiguos y de última generación.

Omar Nyang

Fundador del grupo Wakoul Diop, compositor-cantante arreglista.

Ha estudiado música clásica, y ha tocado en varias bandas musicales con todos estilos de música.

Instrumentos: Violón-chelo, guitarra, xalam, charango, ukelele, percusión, laúd, tuba y trombón.

Idiomas cantando: Wolof, francés, inglés, portugués, español, catalán, mandinga, diola, fula, lingala, alemán y árabe.

La banda está compuesta por 5 integrantes.

  • Lázaro Gonzalez (Cuba): Contrabajo, ha tocado con lo mejores grupos cubanos, uno de ellos el grupo Ban Ban.
  • Diego Ferran (Argentina) : Bateria, ha tocado con la mayoria de grupos de Palma, uno de ellos Concha Buika.
  • Jorge Solano (R. Dominicana): Violonchelo, ha estudiado en el conservatorio de Palma.
  • Andon Angelon (Bulgaria): Acordeón, ha tocado en muchas bandas de Bulgaria.

Pi is a vocal artist who, through experimental melodies, creates sound atmospheres. These are accompanied by personal and borrowed poetry, with improvisation being the basis of all her creations. In the concert you will discover the style of this resident artist in Mallorca that transports us to her world using voice and a looper as the only instruments.

Pedro Rosa

Pedro Rosa is a Brazilian artist who is passionate about the rhythmic, harmonious and melodic diversity of his country: “clear harvest of a wide ethnic mix”.

In his compositions and arrangements, he shows a legacy of teachers who have undoubtedly left a great influence on his skin.

Unique artists like Villa-Lobos, Guinga, Jobim, Milton, Dorival Caymmi, Gilberto Gil, Sergio Santos and Djavan, are some names of a list that could be endless.

Currently working on the production of his first album as a composer/guitarist and singer. On this occasion, there will be a mix of own songs and other artists who have been carrying Pedro Rosa for Europe for more than 10 years.

José Docen

Born 1980 in Patterson NJ, Jose Docen, aka “Of Lions And Giants”, is a uniquely talented and well-traveled singer-songwriter.  He was raised in Anchorage, Alaska, and Central Falls, Rhode Island.  Jose has had the great honor to open for some of the more well-known singer-songwriters touring the New England area, such as Erin McKeown, Anais Mitchell, Matthew Santos and Catie Curtis.  “Of Lions And Giants” is the future of what is to come from Jose Docen.
